We still need to assemble the dresser, order our other rocking chair and side table and then I think we’ll have together all the furniture we need. There’s still plenty I need to get for pumping and the extra items like night lights and such but otherwise I think we’re getting there for 21 weeks. I’m more than half way through the pregnancy and it’s mind boggling.

Graduation Day: Congrats Dr. Conor!

Conor’s graduation day seemed like it was ages away. Every year we’d feel a little better about having more time and years behind us and we were moving closer and closer to the finish line: graduation. The past four years have been filled with amazing memories and some tough days. I’m so incredibly proud of Conor for not only graduating today from medschool and heading to his number one residency choice but I’m so proud of his resilience and working towards his dream of becoming an emergency medicine physician. The days were long, the tests were hard and it wasn’t easy, it’s not meant to be. Then we decided to have a baby and add Cecilia to the mix because apparently life wasn’t difficult enough.

I am so proud of my husband, he was always meant to be an emergency medicine physician and it brings me so much joy knowing that in just a handful of weeks he’ll be starting his dream.
Years ago we were imaging this day and it looked so different in our minds. We thought that we’d be surrounded by friends and family and that he’d be able to walk across the stage one last time. That was unfortunately not the case and we were sitting on the couch watching the ceremony on youtube but it doesn’t change what a milestone this is for him. He’s officially Dr. Conor and I could not be more proud of him. Here’s to residency!
