This will be the third time that I am writing about the Causebox, for an introduction to what it is just click here. I received my Causebox yesterday and I was beyond excited to open it up to see what was hidden inside! If you’re interested in reading my first review check it out here. Basically for awhile I’ve been looking for some kind of subscription box that not only matched my lifestyle but also my budget. This whole box cost me only $50, promise!
Something that I noticed this time around that I didn’t really take the time to notice with the last box is all the positive affirmations on the sides of the box. Seriously there’s some great ones on there! There’s some general things like “Love conquers all” but then there’s a great one about Autism and other more specific things. It was heartwarming to notice this.
The moment I was waiting for! The moment that I get to rip open my box and look at all my goodies! I’ve been waiting days for this to come, driving the mail people in my apartment complex crazy with how many times I’ve asked if I had a package. When I opened my box everything was neatly packed together, the tissue paper looks like it shifted during transport but it was still beautiful opening it up!
Good Spread Peanut Butter & Honey Packet
This was a sample of their product and I have to say oh my gosh it is incredible. I love peanut butter and honey so putting them together while doing good is a match made in heaven! For every good spread sold a child receives a packet of therapeutic food called MANA RUTF to help turn the tide of severe acute malnutrition. A 16oz. jar of this piece of heaven in a jar is only $4.99 on their website!
Denik “Be The Change” Journal – $17.99
Denik gathers artists from across the globe and put their work on journals, notebooks, and sketchbooks. Then, with every product sold, a portion of the proceeds goes directly to building schools and to support the artist. Sevenly and Denik decided to collaborate together on this exclusive journal since both organizations believe that art can be used to change the world. It’s a great sized journal, maybe a little bit larger than a paperback book. It is lined which is a great plus, I often buy journals and they’re unlined when I open them and then they sit in my desk for years. The artwork is absolutely beautiful and it is something that I would probably buy at the store. I just might be turning this into my new blogging notebook.
Tribe Alive Bracelet – $35.00
Tribe Alive has so many bags and accessories that I have been meaning to purchase for awhile but I just haven’t ordered anything yet, so this was an incredible surprise! This bracelet is called the “Cause Bracelet” and was made specifically for the Spring Causebox however you can buy it on the Tribe Alive website here. The bracelet is supposed to be a daily reminder to continue to give back. If you purchase the bracelet $7 is donated to Mi Esperanza; their mission is to alleviate poverty among women in Honduras.
Half United “Fighting Hunger” Necklace – $34.00
Half United is a one for one company that sells different products and will then provide meals to children in need. Their necklaces are actually made of old bullet casings from shooting ranges. At first I did not understand the connection between bullets and fighting hunger but then I found out that shooting ranges will resell bullet casings to ammunition companies to make more bullets. When the ranges donate them to Half United they are instead becoming weapons to fight hunger instead of encouraging violence. They have so many different necklaces and they have also partnered with stores including Nordstrom so they are a must to check out!
Smarty Pants Vitamins Travel Packets – $4.25
I’m extremely excited that Sevenly included Smarty Pants in the Spring Causebox. I had never heard of Smarty Pants before and never thought that I would find an amazing replacement for my vitamins that do good. Who would have thought that it was a thing!? I’m all excited because they partnered with Vitamin Angels and with every bottle sold they provide vitamins to children who need it the most. Over 500,000 at risk children have been helped. I immediately ripped these open and ate the suggested “kid” dose and loved how great they taste. If you have ever eaten agave gummy bears they’re similar just a little bit sturdier and less sticky. The children vitamins were included but I went to their website and they do have adult gummy vitamins. So you know for a fact that I will be switching to these vitamins once I finish my current bottle.
Perf Turkish Towel – $55
Perf is a company that I learned about a while ago and fell in love with their products, company and outlook on life. Here’s a snip it from their site and I just love it: “A collection of simple and inspired goods that celebrate the ritual of enjoying everyday life”. This is philosophy that I strive to live by, I try hard to enjoy the simply things and celebrate each day. Please head over to the Perf website and just look through everything they have. Look into their values of giving, community and dreams. Read about how they want to sell these products that not only have a story about them but also create positive change in the world. I am in love with this company if you haven’t been able to tell yet. With every purchase you make they are actively changing lives of people around the world by providing meals and clean water to those who need it. I have a Perf blanket already so getting this Turkish Towel was so exciting! The quality is comparable, it was handmade in Turkey and it is just a beautifully simple piece. I love this so much I needed to include two photos.
PERF ADJECTIVE ˈPƏRF/: A FUNDAMENTAL QUALITY OF WHOLE-LIVING THAT IS FELT BY BEING PRESENT, AND RECOGNIZING THE SIMPLE MOMENTS THAT NOURISH THE SOUL.
There is one item that is not pictured alone but you can see it kind of in the box photo above. It is that white sheet of paper, it actually isn’t a sheet of paper but a reusable sticker for mirrors and windows. It is from Sevenly and says “Today is a Good Day”. This was something I totally was not expecting and I’m excited to stick it on my makeup mirror. A lot of days start off a little rough for me because of my recovery from my eating disorder
The Spring #Causebox02 came with over $150 worth of items that give back and again I am more than happy with what I received. I love all the items and will be planning on purchasing the peanut butter and the vitamins once my next paycheck comes in on Tuesday. If you haven’t already I would highly suggest purchasing a Causebox. I love being introduced to new amazing companies that are actively changing lives and I love that I get everything at such a bargain! If you have any questions or hesitations please feel free to ask me, I could talk about this box all day.
Next time that I get my Causebox in the mail I’ll have to sit on it for an extra day before I review it because I must have written the word “love” over 100x. If you bought the Causebox let me know what you think! Or if you haven’t, what do you think of the companies and products that were in this box or who do you think should be included in a future box?
