It’s week 21 and I’m past the halfway point of this pregnancy. I’ve had a lot of appointments last week and they all went well. It finally hit me that time is flying by and it’s only going to go quicker. I feel like once I start noticing fall decorations in the stores, Christmas is here before I know it and for all I know, baby can be here by then. We’ve been working hard on getting the apartment ready for baby and I’m starting to feel like any time I start a new project I realize it’s either a much bigger project than I thought or now I have three more projects to do.Â

Baby is about 10.5 inches and about 12.7oz. At our 20 week appointment, they said that our baby was weighing about 11 oz, which is higher than the average 10.2oz that they usually weigh at 20 weeks. I am feeling our little one move just about the same amount, baby also loves loves loves to move during all our ultrasounds. We’ve had three done at this point since we opting into extra testing. We did find out the baby’s sex and I’ll share that soon. We did announce to family members and some friends but we haven’t made the “official” announcement just yet. We will soon and you’ll see soon enough.
Have you decided on a name?Â
Yes, we have a name. We are struggling to figure out a middle name though so we’ve had our eyes searching. To be honest, I haven’t really been looking for a middle name but the ones we’ve thought about don’t really quite fit. I’m sure once we see it, we’ll know, or at least I’m hoping! We are still holding strong with our decision to not share the name until we announce we have our little one in our arms.

Best moment so far?
So the best moment the past few weeks has been seeing how attached Conor has been. A few nights ago we were on the couch and I was telling him how crazy baby was going and he’s been able to feel the baby kick and move for a few weeks now but he wasn’t expecting quite a kick. Conor is in medical school so he’s been taught how to feel the body, what is an organ and not so he’s been able to feel the baby for almost as long as I have been. Because baby is getting so much bigger when Conor went to touch my belly he was not expecting the strong kick he felt. He so quickly looked at me and his face was the best.

Are you having any cravings?Â
I’m still craving pumpkin spice and finally pumpkin spice everything is starting to come out. Thank goodness! I’ve also been craving lattes which I can get whenever.
How are you sleeping?Â
I am no longer sleeping through the night. I’ve gotten to the point where I’m not supposed to sleep on my back so I’m aware of it while I’m sleeping which leads to a very sad night of sleep. I’ll also get up usually two hours before getting up for the day because I need to run to the bathroom. I’m predicting it’s only going to get worse.

What are you excited about?Â
I’m excited about Fall coming because it’s been so hot outside which makes me not want to do anything. We got rid of my desk from the office but it made me realize how much stuff I have and I have no idea where to put it all which means I need to seriously let some things go. I’m sad that I don’t have my desk anymore but I am glad that I started emptying the room for baby. I honestly don’t see it coming together, I’m not sure why but I just don’t see it happening. Maybe it’s because we don’t have a lot of baby stuff just yet but I feel like it’s all going to be done last minute and I’m going to be stressing. My big project is really going through the rest of my stuff in that room and letting go most of it. The project after that is figuring out what we’re going to do with Conor’s desk. He wants to stay in the nursery but I really just want to make it a space for baby. The options that we’re looking at is moving him into the dining room area or our bedroom. We probably won’t move him until November but we’re trying to sort it out now.
