If you know me, you know that I don’t have cable or any type of directv so I’m usually 90% behind on all shows, especially ones that are not on Netflix. I recently just got HBO Go and have since been binge watching some pretty great shows and movies. Don’t even pretend I’m the only one who does this! 😉 So while I was snuggled up on the couch with my snacks I realized that John Oliver’s Last Week Tonight is available to watch, who knew? Going through the episodes I saw that he did a large portion of his show about Fast Fashion! You might remember back in April I wrote a post about the Fashion Revolution. I sat and watched the episode and I have to say it was fantastic. I really appreciated that a lot of important details were brought up and they showed interviews with factory workers, some who are as young as 12! Given the type of show he hosts and his main audience, he did not go into the teeny tiny deep details of fast fashion but I think it’s incredibly important to bring this discussion to mainstream media. Introduce it to people who would not have otherwise known about this problem and maybe do research on their own. I’m really happy with the segment. I’ve included it below for you to check out!
